ON-CAMPUS LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS

On-campus lodging for the Convention has been arranged at the Towson University (TU) Student Dormitories. These rooms, though spartan by hotel standards, are nevertheless clean, comfortable, and very affordable. Please keep in mind that room prices include three meals at the excellent TU Student Union cafeteria. The meals are dinner for the night of your stay and breakfast and lunch the next day.

A dormitory room is furnished with a room air conditioner, mini-refrigerator, microwave oven, desk, chair, closet, small bookcase, and two single beds. The bathroom is shared with one other room on the floor. See sketch below. There is no room service, TV, phone, or mint on the pillow. The rooms do however, have free, hard-wired, internet connections. Bring your own CAT-5 Ethernet cord.

We are offering the rooms in two configurations:

A "single occupancy room" is sold for one person, using one bed, and one set of bed linen, pillow, towel and washcloth. The rest of the room is then available for storage of model trains, track, factories, etc. You may state who you want to room opposite your room, so that you know with whom you are sharing the bathroom.

A "double occupancy room" is sold for two persons, using both beds in the room, and two sets of bed linen. There is a cost saving of $21 per person per night when you choose a "double occupancy room."

We will strive to leave the opposite room empty for couples choosing double occupancy. This would avoid the prospect of four people sharing the bathroom.

The photograph shows a typical room, one side only. Furniture arrangements may vary.
